  2. Please note that by using this Litegreen website (our “Website") you will be confirming that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, do not use our Website.
  3. Litegreen may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time by posting changes online. We therefore suggest that you review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes that have been made.
  4. These Terms and Conditions incorporate our Privacy Policy, which you should also read.

Litegreen Ratings and Disclaimers

  1. Whilst we hope you find the contents of our Website interesting and informative, the information contained on it is for general information purposes only. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on the information contained in our Website.
  2. Litegreen does not advise on any of the products or companies featured on our Website, or their suitability for any individual’s circumstances, and nothing in our Website should be read as such. We simply provide an opinion on the environmental and ethical record of various businesses and products.
  3. The views, research and ratings published on our Website are not reflective of the views of the companies that sell the products and brands featured on our Website.
  4. Much of the information on our Website is taken from ECRA (Ethical Consumer Research Association). Therefore whilst Litegreen endeavours to keep the content of our Website accurate and up to date, we can give no assurances regarding the accuracy, currency or applicability of any of the contents, nor as to the comprehensiveness of the list of companies and products contained in our Website.
  5. Litegreen uses this data from ECRA to provide the Litegreen ratings. Achieving a Litegreen rating is not a guarantee of good practice nor is failing to achieve a rating, a judgement on a company. Achieving a rating is a sign that in Litegreen’s opinion a company has a track record of good practice in environmental and ethical matters.
  6. We make every reasonable effort to reproduce colours on our Website as accurately as possible, but different computers reproduce colour slightly differently and we don't therefore guarantee on-screen colours exactly match the colour of the product itself. Colours are therefore only indicative.
  7. Other than these Terms and Conditions, none of the content of our Website will form any part of any contract between you and Litegreen or constitutes a contractual offer by us to you.
  8. Therefore, our Website is provided by Litegreen on an ‘as is’ and ‘as and when available’ basis and your use of our Website, and the information contained in it, is at your own risk.

Tree Planting

  1. We will plant a tree for you when you register and every time you spend £50 through Litegreen.

  1. We provide links to other websites which are not under our control, for your convenience only.
  2. We cannot and do not undertake to monitor every website which we include a link to. As a result we make no assurances as to accuracy, quality, suitability or availability of those other websites, nor as to any products or services available from them.   4. We reserve the right to remove or suspend references and links to other websites and brands which in the view of Litegreen have attempted to mislead the research process.

  1. While we use an up-to-date virus checker, due to the nature of viruses we cannot guarantee that our Website is free of viruses and other disabling devices.

Registered Users

  1. If you wish us to plant trees on your behalf, and/or receive our newsletter and updated then you must first register your personal details with us and become a Registered User.
  2. If you wish Tell a Friend about our Website, we will also collect your friend’s name and email address which we will only use in order to send them an introductory email, unless they choose to register with us themselves.
  3. We agree to only use such personal details in accordance with our Privacy Policy

General

  3. These terms and conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales. Any party to these terms and conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
